Greenville, NC – A frigid night is ahead for parts of eastern North Carolina, with temperatures expected to drop to the low teens and possibly as low as 10°F between midnight and 9 a.m. Saturday, according to the National Weather Service Newport/Morehead City.
A Cold Weather Advisory is in effect for areas where snow remains on the ground, with the coldest temperatures forecasted in inland regions such as Greenville, Washington, and Plymouth. Areas along the coast, including Frisco and Engelhard, will see slightly warmer lows in the 20s.
Residents are advised to bundle up and take precautions against the bitter cold. Those traveling early in the morning should prepare for potentially icy roads and frost accumulation.
