Raleigh, NC – The National Weather Service has issued a Frost Advisory for central North Carolina, including areas in the Piedmont region, which remains in effect until 8 a.m. this morning. Temperatures are expected to drop as low as 33 degrees, creating conditions favorable for frost formation.
Residents in cities such as Greensboro, Durham, Winston-Salem, and Chapel Hill should take immediate precautions to protect sensitive outdoor plants, which could be damaged or killed by the cold if left uncovered. According to the NWS, frost is likely to impact exposed vegetation.
