Belville, NC – Residents in southeast North Carolina are bracing for another frigid night as wind chills could drop below 15 degrees Thursday evening into Friday morning. The National Weather Service has issued a Cold Weather Advisory, urging people to bundle up and limit time outdoors.

According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, temperatures are expected to dip into the low 20s, with calm winds creating mid-teen wind chill conditions in some areas. Frostbite and hypothermia remain a risk for those not adequately dressed.

The weekend forecast brings some relief, with highs reaching the low 50s Saturday, though rain is likely Friday night.
