North Aurora, IL – A North Aurora man has pleaded guilty to aggravated DUI causing death following a fatal crash in Batavia involving a motorcycle.
Luis Aca Osorio, 34, agreed to an eight-year prison sentence after rear-ending a motorcyclist on May 7, 2023, resulting in the rider’s death. According to the Kane County State’s Attorney, Osorio’s blood alcohol concentration was 0.204, more than twice the legal limit. Judge Julia Yetter accepted the plea, with Osorio set to serve 85% of his sentence, crediting him for 24 days already served.
Prosecutors emphasized the tragic and preventable nature of the crash.
