Philadelphia, Pa. – A strong Nor’easter is set to soak much of eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and parts of the Mid-Atlantic with 1–2 inches of rain and gusty winds through Thursday evening, bringing travel delays and power outage risks to the region.

According to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, the storm will intensify through Wednesday night into Thursday, with peak wind gusts of 25–30 mph expected in Philadelphia, Allentown, Trenton, and Wilkes-Barre. Rainfall totals may exceed 1.5 inches in central Pennsylvania, especially near Harrisburg and State College.

The heaviest rainfall is expected along the I-76 and I-95 corridors, impacting morning and evening commutes. Drivers should prepare for reduced visibility and ponding on roads, especially in low-lying or poorly drained areas. Residents are urged to secure outdoor items and check flashlights or backup batteries in case of isolated power outages.

In New Jersey, areas around Trenton and northern suburbs may see persistent rainfall through Thursday afternoon. Baltimore, Dover, and coastal Delaware can also expect light to moderate rain with breezy conditions.

Conditions should improve by late Thursday, but additional advisories are possible if storm bands stall or strengthen.
