According to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were investigating a fatal pedestrian crash near 2335 Niagara Falls Boulevard on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2025, at 7:42 a.m.. Northbound traffic had been rerouted to protect responders when deputies observed a red 2010 Chevrolet allegedly bypassing traffic control and emergency vehicles, continuing north in the southbound lane.
Sheriff’s deputies intervened and directed the vehicle off the roadway. Following an investigation, Christopher Seelblaugh was arrested and charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd, and multiple traffic violations, according to the release.
Seelblaugh was transported to the Niagara County Correctional Facility to await arraignment in CAP Court. A future court date in the Town of Wheatfield is expected.
