New York, NY – The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a weather update indicating continued cold conditions through the first half of the weekend, with temperatures remaining below normal across the region.
According to the NWS New York office, Friday night’s low temperatures will drop into the teens across much of the area, with New York City reaching around 17°F and inland areas such as Poughkeepsie and Hartford falling to 12°F. Coastal locations, including Long Island, will see lows in the low-to-mid 20s.
Saturday’s high temperatures are expected to remain chilly, with most areas reaching the mid-to-upper 30s. New York City and Newark are forecasted to hit 39°F, while places like White Plains, Danbury, and Bridgeport will stay around 36°F.
