Wappingers Falls, NY – A Danbury, CT man was arrested in connection with an ATV mob incident in Wappingers Falls on September 8. Nicholas Horton, 26, faces multiple alleged felony charges, including assault in the second degree, tampering with physical evidence, and criminal possession of stolen property.
According to the New York State Police, Horton allegedly assaulted a fellow mob participant, John Robinson, 25, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Robinson was transported to Vassar Hospital following the incident. The altercation occurred after a group of 30 to 40 riders circled a marked State Police patrol car, shouting profanities and revving engines.
The group fled after stealing a trooper’s hat from the vehicle. Horton was later arrested on September 9 and arraigned in Wappingers Falls Court, where he posted $20,000 cash bail. He is scheduled to appear in court again on September 13.
