Albuquerque, NM – New Mexico is set to experience unseasonably warm temperatures this week, with widespread record highs expected Monday and Tuesday. The National Weather Service warns of elevated to near-critical fire weather conditions, especially in the eastern highlands and plains by Wednesday.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will soar 15 to 25 degrees above normal, making it feel more like spring. Albuquerque could see highs in the 70s, while Santa Fe and Las Vegas are forecast to hit the upper 60s. Strong winds will increase fire danger, with gusts reaching 20 to 30 mph.
