Berkot’s Super Foods is reporting at least one employee at its Orland Park and New Lenox locations have tested positive for COVID-19.
The news was released in a Facebook post early Monday morning. Both employees are recovering at home now. Berkot’s maintains each store underwent a deep cleaning according to CDC guidelines since the news was brought to their attention.
“The employees notified us and removed themselves from the premises as soon as minor symptoms became evident,” Berkot’s said in a statement. “We’ve remained in contact with the employees in question and continue to monitor their recovery with guidance from their physicians and CDC protocols.”
