Hainesport, NJ – Authorities are asking for public help in investigating a suspicious brush fire in Burlington County.
Troopers responded to a fire near the “Big Rusty” monument on State Highway 38 in Hainesport on Saturday at 4:39 p.m. The New Jersey State Police said the fire’s origin appeared suspicious and is under investigation.
According to police, the fire caused significant damage to the area near the iconic sculpture, drawing concerns from the community. Officials are urging anyone with information about the fire or prior events to contact NJSP Troop “C” Bordentown Station’s Detective Bureau at 609-298-1171.
