New Hampshire – Headlights will cut through thickening fog and steady rain by Sunday morning, setting up slick roads and reduced visibility across Manchester and surrounding communities.
According to the National Weather Service, rain becomes widespread Sunday with a 100% chance of precipitation and areas of patchy fog developing early. Temperatures will reach the low 50s before falling sharply, with colder air arriving by night as lows drop near 31°F.
Through today, conditions stay relatively calm with mostly cloudy skies and highs near 58°F. By late tonight into early Sunday, rain fills in and becomes steady. Fog may reduce visibility on I-293, I-93, and Route 101, especially during the morning drive. Plan extra time and use low-beam headlights in low visibility.
Rain continues through much of Sunday before tapering later in the day. While rainfall amounts remain modest, wet pavement and ponding could create hazardous driving conditions. Gusty winds are not a major concern, but cooler air moving in will be noticeable by evening.
The bigger shift arrives into Monday morning. Skies clear, but temperatures drop to around 25°F. Any leftover moisture could refreeze on untreated roads, bridges, and overpasses. Watch for isolated icy spots during the early commute.
Sunshine returns Monday and continues into Tuesday, with highs recovering into the upper 40s and low 50s. A gradual warm-up follows midweek, bringing more typical spring conditions back to southern New Hampshire.
