Pendleton, IN – A Boscawen, New Hampshire man is awaiting extradition to Indiana after his March 18 arrest in connection with a child sexual trafficking case that began in Madison County.

According to the Indiana State Police, 21-year-old Dominic William Mudgett allegedly contacted a juvenile through social media and offered money in exchange for nude images. ISP detectives began investigating the case on October 23, 2024, leading to a five-month probe that involved coordination with law enforcement in New Hampshire.

On March 18, 2025, the Merrimack County Sheriff’s Department, with assistance from the Indiana State Police, arrested Mudgett near his Boscawen residence without incident. Search warrants had been issued for his vehicle and home prior to his apprehension.

Mudgett faces three counts of Level 3 felony promotion of child sexual trafficking and one count of Level 6 felony dissemination of matter harmful to minors. He is being held at the Merrimack County Jail.

Authorities urge parents to closely monitor children’s online activity and report suspicious behavior to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children via the CyberTipline or the Indiana ICAC Task Force.
