Concord, NH – A Merrimack man was arrested in Concord early Thursday after allegedly fleeing a police pursuit that began in Hopkinton late Wednesday night.
At approximately 11 p.m. on March 19, 2025, New Hampshire State Police were notified that officers from Hillsboro, Henniker, and Hopkinton police departments were pursuing a vehicle on Route 202/9. The driver, later identified as Eric Dearborn, 35, of Merrimack, allegedly refused to stop for a traffic violation and continued at a high rate of speed.
According to New Hampshire State Police, troopers from Troop D and Troop B responded to assist. The suspect vehicle, a 2015 Toyota Tundra, traveled onto Route 77 in Weare and then east toward Dunbarton. At the intersection of Routes 77 and 13, Trooper Kyle Cotnoir successfully deployed spike strips, deflating one of the truck’s tires. Despite the damage, the driver allegedly continued to flee.
State Police assumed primary pursuit as the Toyota entered Bow, then Interstate 89 northbound toward Concord. Another set of spike strips was deployed near Hopkinton, further deteriorating the vehicle’s tires and bringing it to a stop near mile marker 6. The driver then allegedly fled on foot into the woods, while a passenger was detained at the scene. A State Police K-9 was used to track the suspect.
Investigators believe Dearborn escaped through the woods and was later picked up by an unknown person. Warrants were issued for his arrest on charges of disobeying an officer and reckless operation.
Dearborn was taken into custody Thursday morning in Concord after another alleged attempt to flee. He now faces additional charges, including resisting arrest.
