
MANCHESTER, N.H. – A Manchester man died early Friday morning after his vehicle left the roadway and crashed into the Merrimack River along Interstate 293.
According to the New Hampshire State Police, troopers from the Troop B barracks were dispatched at 5:52 a.m. to the northbound lanes of I-293 near mile marker 5.0, just before Exit 4. The call reported a vehicle that had veered off the road and entered the river.
Troopers found a black Hyundai Tucson overturned at the base of an embankment, partially submerged in water. Members of the Manchester Fire Department extricated the driver, identified as 32-year-old Juan Alonzo Perez Ramirez of Manchester. Authorities said Perez Ramirez was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from injuries allegedly sustained in the crash.
