New Hampshire Boating Accident Leaves Teen in Critical Condition

Gilford, NH — A 17-year-old was hospitalized in critical condition following a boating incident on Lake Winnipesaukee on Tuesday. The incident occurred near Little Camp Island, where the teen was tubing with family members.

At 4:56 p.m., New Hampshire State Police – Marine Patrol responded to reports of an unconscious juvenile. Sgt. Nicholas Haroutunian and Marine Patrol Supervisor David Jones arrived on the scene within minutes. They boarded the boat and found the teen’s father administering life-saving measures. Sgt. Haroutunian and Supervisor Jones took over, continuing CPR and coordinating with an approaching Gilford Fire Rescue boat.

The teen was quickly transferred to shore by Gilford Fire Rescue and then transported to Concord Hospital in Laconia. According to authorities, the teen is in critical but stable condition.
