LAS VEGAS — Clark County and the Nevada Secretary of State’s office publish updated election calendars and administrative deadlines each year

2026 is an important year for Clark County voters, as all 58 judicial offices in the Eighth Judicial District Court and two seats from the Supreme Court of Nevada are up for election. As a universal vote-by-mail state, all active registered voters will receive a ballot by mail before Election Day.

This year, the deadline for opting out of mail ballots from the primary election in June is April 10, 2026. The deadline for primary registration via mail or in person is May 12. 2026, and the deadline for the general election is 28 days before the election.

General Election Day is on Nov. 3, 2026. Some statewide measures Las Vegas voters should pay attention to include Nevada Question 7, an initiative to require voter identification for in-person voting and mail ballots. This constitutional amendment must be approved again on Election Day.

One change that will affect Las Vegas voters is the new step for in-person voting. Voters will be able to physically inspect and insert their ballot printouts into the new election machines. The machines will enhance security and transparency during in-person voting. Mailed ballots must be postmarked by Election Day.

Voters should monitor Clark County election officials and the Nevada Secretary of State for any updates or changes to deadlines.
