According to the National Weather Service in North Platte, a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. MDT for Sheridan, Grant, Hooker, and western Cherry Counties. Snowfall totals are projected between 2 to 4 inches, with some areas potentially reaching 6 inches. Wind gusts exceeding 25 mph may reduce visibility and worsen road conditions.
Communities including Gordon, Merriman, Hyannis, Kilgore, Mullen, and Cody are likely to see the heaviest impacts. The combination of falling snow and blowing wind may make travel difficult, particularly on rural roads and highways prone to drifting.
