Naperville, IL – Naperville’s annual bulk curbside leaf collection begins Monday, Oct. 21. Residents will have three opportunities to dispose of leaves over a six-week period. This free program offers a simple way to clear yards during fall and complements other methods like mulching and composting.
According to the city, collection will take place on Oct. 21, Nov. 4, and Nov. 18. Crews begin at 6 a.m. each cycle. Residents should ensure leaves are raked into the street before this time. It takes roughly two weeks for the city to complete each cycle, depending on weather conditions. An interactive map is available to track collection progress online at naperville.il.us/leafcollection.
Residents are advised to avoid placing non-leaf debris in leaf piles and to keep leaves clear of storm drains to prevent flooding. In case of inclement weather, residents can use the city’s weekly yard waste collection program, which runs through Dec. 13.
