Muskogee, OK – The Muskogee County Sheriff’s Office has completed a key stage in its investigation into an alleged sexual assault at Midway Public School in Council Hill, according to a department update released Monday, November 3.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, investigators have finalized the victim’s forensic interview and conducted multiple witness interviews. The case is now being submitted to the Muskogee County District Attorney’s Office for review.

The initial report was filed on October 23 at approximately 11:26 a.m., when deputies responded to Midway Public School after receiving a report of a sexual assault that allegedly took place on school grounds. Deputies gathered statements and launched an investigation immediately.

Authorities say the juvenile suspects involved have been suspended from school pending the outcome of the investigation. Muskogee County Investigators are continuing to gather evidence and conduct follow-up interviews as new information becomes available.
