McLean County, IL – A woman has been charged with murder after a shooting in McLean County left a man dead. The McLean County Sheriff’s Department reports that deputies arrived at 302 North East Street in Ellsworth at 7:59 a.m. Wednesday, where they found a male victim with no signs of life. The McLean County Coroner’s Office declared the man deceased at the scene.
Illinois State Police Crime Scene Unit is actively involved in the investigation. Desiree Robertson, the suspect, was apprehended on-site and is currently held at the McLean County Jail on murder charges. The case remains under investigation by the McLean County Coroner’s Office, McLean County Sheriff’s Office, and Illinois State Police.
