Glasgow, MT – A winter weather advisory is in effect for northeast Montana from midnight Sunday to noon Monday as a mix of ice and snow threatens travel conditions.

According to the National Weather Service in Glasgow, portions of the region, including Phillips, Valley, Roosevelt, McCone, Richland, and Dawson counties, could see ice accumulations of up to fifteen hundredths of an inch. Snowfall totals may reach up to one inch in some areas. Further north, in Daniels and Sheridan counties, up to three inches of snow is expected.

Roads may become slick, particularly during the Monday morning commute. Drivers are urged to slow down and use caution when traveling. The hazardous conditions could impact visibility and create dangerous driving situations.

Residents can check the latest road conditions by calling 511. Authorities advise allowing extra travel time and preparing for icy patches on highways and local roads.

This advisory will remain in effect until noon Monday, after which improving conditions are expected. However, lingering ice and snow accumulation may still affect travel throughout the day.
