According to the National Weather Service in Billings, total snowfall could range between 8 and 16 inches, with wind gusts reaching up to 50 mph. The combination of snow and strong winds may lead to widespread blowing snow and severely reduced visibility, making travel difficult or even impossible in some areas.
Recreation in high-elevation areas could also be impacted by dangerous conditions. Forecasters warn that additional rounds of heavy snowfall could continue into the workweek.
