Billings, MT – Windy conditions are expected to persist along the foothills of south-central Montana through Monday morning, bringing localized blowing and drifting snow to areas that received significant snowfall on Friday.
According to the National Weather Service in Billings, the highest risk for blowing snow, with wind gusts reaching up to 50 mph, will impact the Big Timber area. Visibility in some areas could drop to less than a mile at times, creating potentially hazardous travel conditions, particularly along Interstate 90 and nearby highways.
Officials advise travelers to exercise caution and monitor local road conditions, as reduced visibility and drifting snow may lead to difficult driving situations in affected areas. For updates, motorists are encouraged to dial 511 or check weather.gov/billings.
The advisory remains in effect through Monday morning as conditions are expected to ease after the weekend.
