St. Louis, MO – A major winter storm brought two rounds of snow across Missouri from Monday night through Tuesday, dumping as much as 11 inches in some areas.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in St. Louis, the highest snow totals were recorded in southern Missouri, particularly in southeast regions, where snowfall ranged from 8 to 11 inches. Notable accumulations included 11 inches in Madison, 10.5 inches in Kimberling City and Knob Lick, and 9 inches in Farmington. Meanwhile, areas farther north, including the I-70 corridor from Columbia to St. Louis, saw lower totals of around 2 to 3 inches.

The storm created hazardous travel conditions, with reports of slick roads and reduced visibility. Authorities urged residents to exercise caution while driving and to allow extra travel time. As cleanup efforts continue, officials recommend monitoring local weather updates for any additional winter weather threats.

For those affected, road condition updates are available through the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT).
