Huntsville, AL – North Alabama saw measurable snowfall over the past 24 hours, with totals ranging from a trace to 2 inches across the Tennessee Valley, according to the National Weather Service in Huntsville.

The snowfall, which occurred between midnight and noon on February 19, left varying accumulations across the region. Huntsville recorded between 1.2 and 1.8 inches, while areas like Florence and Muscle Shoals saw around 1.8 inches. Decatur, Athens, and Fayetteville reported snowfall amounts between 1 and 1.5 inches. Lower accumulations, some under an inch, were recorded in areas such as Cullman, Fort Payne, and Guntersville.

While roads remained mostly passable, officials urged drivers to use caution, especially in areas where light snow and freezing temperatures could cause slick spots. No major travel disruptions were reported.
