Kansas City, MO – Rain and thunderstorms will develop Thursday in Kansas City, bringing possible downpours and gusty winds before clearing into the weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, showers and a few thunderstorms will arrive after 3 p.m. Thursday. Some storms could produce heavier rainfall, with accumulations between a tenth and a quarter of an inch. Winds will be from the east at 6 mph, shifting to the southwest overnight.

Friday will start cloudy, with lingering rain in the morning before turning mostly sunny. Highs will reach 48°F, with northwest gusts up to 22 mph.

Saturday looks mild, with sunshine and a high of 55°F, making it the best day for outdoor plans. Clouds return Saturday night, but Sunday will stay mostly sunny with highs near 59°F.
