Kansas City, MO – Football fans and toy collectors alike are getting a surprise this week as Hasbro unveils a new collaboration merging NFL franchises with its iconic Transformers brand.

A Kansas City Chiefs-themed figure is among the first wave of the officially licensed “Transformers x NFL” action figures announced Monday, marking the debut of a unique lineup where football helmets convert into Transformers robots.

According to Hasbro, the 5.5-inch figures transform from robot form into mini football helmets representing NFL teams, complete with posable joints and accessories like a mini football and helmet gear for the robot. The Kansas City model, named KC-59, joins figures based on the Dallas Cowboys, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Green Bay Packers, with more team-inspired versions expected in future waves.

The product launch was featured on the Games with Names podcast hosted by former New England Patriots star Julian Edelman. Edelman, who called the line a “dream” project, said the fusion of his two favorite passions—football and Transformers—made the collection especially exciting.

The Chiefs-themed figure and others in the series are available now for pre-order on Amazon, with shipments expected to begin Tuesday, December 16, 2025. Prime members can access exclusive pricing and early ordering opportunities.
