Springfield, MO – Rain will persist across southern Missouri on Friday, with the highest chances occurring in the afternoon. Showers will remain possible into Saturday, particularly south of Interstate 44. By Monday, rain chances will decrease, giving way to seasonably cool and dry conditions for Labor Day.

According to the National Weather Service in Springfield, rainfall totals on Friday are expected to range from 0.25 to 0.75 inches, with localized pockets receiving up to 1.5 inches. While no flooding or severe weather is anticipated, residents should remain weather aware.

Saturday’s forecast predicts temperatures between 78 and 84 degrees, with rain likely across southern Missouri. However, as the weekend progresses, rain chances will diminish. By Labor Day, temperatures are forecasted to be between 77 and 86 degrees under clear skies, making for a pleasant holiday.

Residents planning outdoor activities should prepare for wet conditions on Friday and Saturday but can expect ideal weather on Monday.
