Paducah, KY – A cold front will move through western Kentucky and southeastern Missouri today, bringing chances of light rain into the evening. Rainfall will be concentrated east of the Mississippi River, with drier conditions expected overnight.

According to the National Weather Service in Paducah, temperatures remain unseasonably warm ahead of the front, reaching the upper 60s. A slight cooldown will follow on Thursday, though temperatures will still stay above seasonal averages. By Friday, southwest winds will cause a brief warm-up before a stronger cold front arrives Friday night.

Weekend temperatures will drop closer to average, with highs in the upper 40s and lows in the 30s. Rain chances will remain low through Sunday, but early next week could bring another warming trend along with additional precipitation.

Residents should prepare for fluctuating temperatures and wet roads today. Travelers should be cautious as conditions shift heading into the weekend.
