Melbourne, FL – Patchy fog is affecting parts of east-central Florida early this morning, reducing visibility along and north of the I-4 corridor. The fog is expected to lift by 9 AM, giving way to mostly sunny skies and mild temperatures throughout the region.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Melbourne, temperatures will reach the mid-to-upper 70s today, with light east-to-southeast winds. Drivers should exercise caution in foggy areas by increasing following distances and using low-beam headlights.

In addition to the fog, there is a moderate rip current risk at all Atlantic beaches in east-central Florida. Swimmers should remain cautious, as rip currents can pull even strong swimmers away from shore. Beachgoers are advised to heed lifeguard warnings and avoid swimming alone.

No rain is expected today, but isolated showers could develop near the Treasure Coast. Conditions will remain dry and seasonable for the rest of the week.
