Kansas City, MO – Kansas City is preparing for an extreme heat wave expected to last through early next week. Heat indices are forecast to soar to 100-110 degrees Fahrenheit from Saturday through Tuesday. The National Weather Service in Kansas City issued the warning, emphasizing the need for residents to stay cool and hydrated.

According to the National Weather Service, Saturday’s heat index will range from 98 to 105 degrees. Sunday and Monday will be even hotter, with indices reaching 103 to 107 degrees. Tuesday will see slightly cooler conditions south of I-70, but indices will still range between 95 and 105 degrees.
