These unseasonably warm days are a last taste of summer before temperatures begin to fall. The shift will start on Friday with temperatures dropping to a high of 65-75°F and partly sunny skies. Those planning travel or events this weekend should be prepared for rain and gusty winds, especially north of the I-94 corridor.
Rain chances will increase into Saturday, with the forecast predicting a high of 60-70°F and possible showers after 1 p.m. The Twin Cities could also experience gusts of up to 20 mph, adding to the cooling effect. By Sunday, temperatures are expected to drop further to a high of 50-60°F, and conditions will remain partly cloudy with a lingering chance of showers.
