Minneapolis, MN – Mostly cloudy skies and cool fall temperatures will linger across the Twin Cities and much of southern Minnesota through Halloween, according to the National Weather Service Twin Cities.

High temperatures are expected to remain between the mid-40s and lower 50s, while nighttime lows will dip into the 30s for much of the week. The NWS says that the only precipitation expected before Halloween will be scattered flurries or sprinkles developing early Friday morning and continuing through mid-afternoon.

Forecasters note that any precipitation Friday should end by sunset, with skies staying mostly cloudy into the weekend. Despite the chill, no major storms or hazardous conditions are anticipated.

Those heading out for Halloween events or trick-or-treating can expect a dry but chilly evening, with temperatures likely settling in the 30s by nightfall.

Residents are encouraged to dress in layers and prepare for brisk evenings as fall weather continues to settle in.
