Duluth, MN – Rainfall is expected to begin across the Duluth region Friday night, bringing up to half an inch of precipitation. Warmer temperatures will accompany the rain, with highs reaching the mid-30s by Saturday.
According to the National Weather Service, the rain will taper off Saturday afternoon. Forecasted rainfall amounts range between 0.1 and 0.5 inches across the region, including Duluth, Brainerd, and Ashland. A sharp increase in forecast uncertainty is expected after Sunday as weather models diverge.
Temperatures will steadily rise through the week, climbing from highs in the 20s Tuesday to the mid-30s Friday and Saturday. Despite the rain, cooler temperatures and dry conditions could return early next week.
Residents are encouraged to monitor updated forecasts and prepare for slippery roads during the rainfall. While significant flooding is not expected, low-lying areas may experience brief water accumulation.
The National Weather Service advises caution, especially for those traveling during the rain. Weather updates are available through local alerts and forecasts.
