Twin Cities, MN – Above-normal temperatures will continue through the weekend before a sharp cooldown arrives Sunday night. Light snow is expected north of I-94 on Saturday, with more chances through early next week.
According to the National Weather Service, highs will range from 30°F to 40°F through Saturday before dropping into the teens and single digits by Monday. The best chance for measurable snow will be Saturday north of I-94, where an inch or more is possible.
Sunday will bring a mix of snow and rain before colder air moves in overnight. Monday’s lows may drop below zero, with wind chills making it feel even colder.
Residents should prepare for slippery roads and rapidly changing conditions. Light snow accumulations may impact travel, especially in northern parts of the state. The Minnesota Department of Transportation advises drivers to stay updated on road conditions.
