Minnesota – Minnesota residents should prepare for light snowfall overnight into Saturday morning before a shift toward milder spring temperatures next week. Meanwhile, daylight saving time begins Sunday, meaning clocks should be set forward one hour.

According to the National Weather Service, up to 1.5 inches of snow is possible Friday night into Saturday, primarily in northern Minnesota, including Duluth and the Arrowhead region. Snow showers may continue into early Saturday before clearing, with temperatures reaching a high of 42°F. Winds will shift from the southwest at 5–10 mph, becoming gusty in the afternoon.

By Sunday, the region will see drier conditions with mostly sunny skies and a high near 51°F. Breezy southwest winds could reach 25 mph, creating a brisk but pleasant early spring day. Overnight temperatures will drop to 28°F.

Looking ahead, Monday will bring continued sunshine and a high of 52°F, while Tuesday and Wednesday remain partly sunny with highs in the upper 30s. A slight chance of midweek snow could bring light accumulations, but no major storms are expected.

With the time change occurring at 2 a.m. Sunday, residents should adjust their clocks before bed Saturday night. Sunrise and sunset times will shift later, signaling the transition toward longer spring days.
