Minneapolis, MN – The Twin Cities area is expecting near-record high temperatures on Sunday, with highs forecasted to reach up to 82 degrees. The unseasonably warm weather could challenge records set in 1953.

According to the National Weather Service in the Twin Cities, normal highs for late October are typically around 55 degrees. However, temperatures on Sunday are expected to approach record-breaking levels across the region, with highs of 80 to 84 degrees. Areas like St. Cloud and Eau Claire are also forecasted to come close to their all-time highs for this date.

Temperatures will cool slightly by Tuesday, with a high near 75 degrees and a chance of rain later in the week.
