Twin Cities, MN – Severe weather is expected to hit the Twin Cities this Saturday night, potentially bringing large hail and damaging winds. The National Weather Service (NWS) in the Twin Cities has issued a warning for scattered strong to severe storms that could develop later in the day and continue into the evening and overnight.

According to the NWS, the primary threat from these storms is large hail, followed by damaging wind gusts. The risk for tornadoes remains very low, but residents are advised to stay alert and monitor weather updates. The forecast calls for highs in the mid-80s to lower 90s during the day, giving way to cooler temperatures next week with highs only in the 70s.

The Twin Cities metro area can expect clear conditions in the morning, with temperatures climbing steadily from 64°F at 7 a.m. to 89°F by 5 p.m. Wind gusts are predicted to reach up to 8 mph throughout the day.

Sunday’s forecast shows a high of 84°F with partly cloudy skies, while Monday could see more rain with a high of 72°F. The remainder of the week promises cooler temperatures, with highs ranging from 76°F to 78°F and mostly clear skies.
