Minneapolis, MN – A winter storm will bring 3-6 inches of snow across central Minnesota beginning late Friday night. Higher accumulations exceeding six inches are possible in western Wisconsin. Travel disruptions and hazardous road conditions are expected through Saturday morning.

According to the National Weather Service, snowfall will be heaviest overnight, leading to reduced visibility and slick roads. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for central Minnesota, while a Winter Storm Watch remains in place for western Wisconsin, where totals could exceed six inches.

Snowfall will taper off from west to east by midday Saturday. However, lingering snow showers could impact areas into the afternoon. Motorists should plan for slow travel and allow extra time for commutes.
