Minneapolis, MN – A Minnesota Sheriff’s Department has successfully dismantled an illegal gambling operation conducted through Facebook.

Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Financial Analyst Schultz identified a woman allegedly accepting illegal bets on Facebook. This led Financial Crimes Detective Kedrowski to execute a search warrant, seizing thousands of illegal pull tabs and other gambling paraphernalia. The raid also uncovered an illegally possessed rifle and handgun with an extended magazine, both easily accessible to multiple young children in the home.

According to the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office, each stack of games and cards in the photograph represents one game with the same serial number, with ten games equating to one felony charge. This systematic approach highlights the scale and seriousness of the illegal operation.
