Duluth, MN – A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for parts of Minnesota and Wisconsin until 6 AM CST Thursday, with 3 to 6 inches of snow expected.

According to the National Weather Service in Duluth, snowfall will impact multiple counties, including Crow Wing, Pine, Carlton, and South St. Louis in Minnesota, and Douglas, Burnett, and Washburn in Wisconsin. The storm will create slippery road conditions, affecting both the Wednesday evening and Thursday morning commutes.

In northeastern Minnesota, Hibbing, Two Harbors, and International Falls are expected to receive 4 to 6 inches, while Bayfield, Ashland, and Sawyer counties in Wisconsin will see 2 to 4 inches. The Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and Voyageurs National Park are also under the advisory.

Motorists should reduce speed, allow extra travel time, and check 511 services for real-time road updates. Snowfall rates may reduce visibility, and untreated roads will be hazardous overnight.
