Duluth, MN – A winter weather advisory remains in effect across northern Minnesota and Wisconsin, bringing snow and icy conditions through early Sunday morning, with additional snowfall expected into Monday.

According to the National Weather Service in Duluth, areas including St. Louis, Carlton, and Cook counties in Minnesota, as well as Douglas and Bayfield counties in Wisconsin, are experiencing snow and freezing drizzle, leading to slick roads. Snow accumulations of up to one inch and a light glaze of ice are possible before the advisory expires at 6 a.m. CST Sunday.

A second winter weather advisory will take effect from midnight Sunday through 10 a.m. CST Monday for Pine County, MN, and Price, Burnett, Sawyer, and Washburn counties in WI. Forecasters predict between 2 to 4 inches of snow, with heavier localized bands developing. The Monday morning commute could be hazardous due to rapidly accumulating snowfall.
