Fort Wayne, IN – A mix of freezing rain and snow is set to hit Northern Indiana overnight into Monday morning, creating hazardous travel conditions. Drivers should prepare for slick roads and reduced visibility, especially during the early morning commute.

According to the National Weather Service, a band of light snow will move in before sunrise, followed by a transition to freezing rain. While accumulation will be minimal, even a thin layer of ice can make roads treacherous. Authorities urge drivers to slow down, allow extra travel time, and avoid cruise control on icy roads.

Monday’s high will reach 35°F with mostly cloudy skies. Tuesday brings a slight warm-up with sunshine and a high of 37°F. However, another round of wintry precipitation is possible Wednesday, with a slight chance of snow and freezing rain. Rain is expected by Wednesday night.

Looking ahead, temperatures will hover in the mid-30s to low-40s through the end of the week. Stay updated with the latest weather alerts and plan travel accordingly.
