Minnesota – Wind whips across the Twin Cities this afternoon, cutting through layers as temperatures hover in the mid-30s and the air feels closer to the low 20s.

According to the National Weather Service, northwest winds are gusting up to 30 mph, with wind chills dipping to around 23°F. A brief 20% chance of light snow showers lingers into early Sunday, especially before midday, though accumulation looks minimal.

Across Minneapolis, St. Paul, and Bloomington, the biggest impact right now is the wind. Drivers on I-94, I-35W, and Highway 62 may notice sudden gusts, especially on bridges and open stretches. Any passing flurries could create isolated slick spots, particularly on untreated roads during early morning and shaded areas.

Conditions begin to stabilize by Sunday afternoon as skies clear and winds ease slightly. Sunshine returns, but it will still feel brisk with highs in the upper 40s.

A sharp turnaround arrives Monday. Temperatures climb to the low 60s under mostly sunny skies, marking a fast spring rebound after the chilly stretch. That warming trend continues into Tuesday, with highs near 70°F and calmer conditions.

By midweek, a more active spring pattern returns, bringing increasing clouds and a chance of showers and thunderstorms by Thursday.
