Milwaukee, WI – A Milwaukee family is now at the center of a death investigation after an 18-year-old was found unresponsive inside a gas station bathroom in Fond du Lac County late Monday afternoon.
According to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, a Village of Oakfield police officer was called to the Clark Gas Station at approximately 1:38 p.m. Monday after concerns about a person who had remained inside a restroom for an extended period. The officer entered and located a male with severe injuries, prompting an immediate request for deputies and detectives.
Authorities say responding crews observed a critical head injury, and the individual was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS. Early findings indicate the injuries are consistent with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Officials confirmed the victim was an 18-year-old male from Milwaukee, bringing the impact of the incident back to southeastern Wisconsin.
Law enforcement and the Fond du Lac County Medical Examiner continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death. Oakfield Police, local first responders, and Lifestar EMS assisted during the response.
