Philadelphia, PA – Monday will start calm across the Mid-Atlantic, but showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected to move in by nightfall, with rain chances reaching 70% from Trenton, NJ to Dover, DE.

According to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, daytime temperatures on Monday will trend warmer than the weekend, ranging from the low 60s to low 70s. Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy through the afternoon as a new weather system approaches the region from the west.

Rain showers are forecast to begin late Monday evening and continue through the night. Isolated thunderstorms are possible, though not guaranteed, with the greatest precipitation likelihood centered across southeastern Pennsylvania, central and southern New Jersey, and northern Delaware.

Travelers and commuters should remain alert for changing road conditions late Monday. Wet roads and brief downpours may impact overnight travel. No severe weather is expected at this time, but isolated storms could bring brief gusty winds or lightning.

Residents are advised to secure loose outdoor items and monitor local forecasts. While daytime activities should remain unaffected, evening plans may require adjustment due to increasing rain chances starting after 7 p.m. Rain is expected to taper off by early Tuesday morning.
