Philadelphia, PA – The National Weather Service has issued a Frost Advisory for much of the Mid-Atlantic region late Saturday night into Sunday morning, with temperatures dipping into the low to mid-30s across portions of Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and southern New York.

The advisory will be in effect from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m. EDT Sunday, covering areas from Wilmington, Dover, and Georgetown, DE to Trenton, Camden, and Millville, NJ, as well as Lancaster, York, and Harrisburg, PA. Forecasters expect frost formation where temperatures fall between 33°F and 38°F, which could damage or kill unprotected vegetation.

In northern areas—including Putnam and Orange Counties in New York and northern Connecticut—a Freeze Watch is in effect for late Sunday night through Monday morning, where temperatures could fall as low as 28°F.

Residents are urged to cover or bring indoors tender plants, and farmers should take precautions to protect late-season crops. Valley locations and sheltered rural areas will see the coldest temperatures and most widespread frost.

Temperatures are expected to moderate slightly by Monday afternoon, but another cold night is possible for inland valleys early next week.
