Gaylord, MI – Another round of winter weather is set to impact Northern Lower Michigan today, bringing snow, gusty winds, and hazardous travel conditions. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., warning of 2 to 6 inches of snowfall with winds gusting up to 30 mph, causing reduced visibility and blowing snow.

According to the National Weather Service, heavy snow is likely early Wednesday, with lingering snow showers into the evening. Drivers on I-75 and US-131 should prepare for slick roads and sudden drops in visibility. Those commuting should allow extra travel time and remain cautious of icy patches.

Beyond Wednesday, temperatures will remain frigid, with lows dropping into the single digits by Friday night. Thursday will bring a brief break from snowfall, with partly sunny skies and a high of 38°F, but another round of lake-effect snow could return by the weekend.

Residents are advised to stay updated on forecasts and use extreme caution when traveling, as road conditions may deteriorate quickly.
