Detroit, Mich. – Southeast Michigan will continue to enjoy several days of dry, comfortable weather before a warming trend and the return of showers and thunderstorms arrive late this weekend. Below-normal temperatures will hold through the end of the workweek, making for ideal conditions for outdoor plans.
According to the National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac, dry weather is expected through Friday with afternoon highs ranging from 76 to 79 degrees Thursday and 78 to 81 degrees Friday. Overnight lows will dip into the mid-50s to lower 60s, providing cool and comfortable sleeping conditions.
The warming trend begins Saturday as highs climb into the 82 to 85-degree range under mostly sunny skies. Dry weather is expected to continue through much of the day before the next chance for showers and thunderstorms arrives late Saturday night into Sunday.
By Sunday, temperatures will rise into the 83 to 89-degree range as humidity begins to increase. Scattered showers and thunderstorms could develop, potentially affecting outdoor events and travel across the Detroit metro area and the rest of southeast Michigan.
The warmer pattern continues Monday with highs forecast between 85 and 91 degrees, bringing a return to more typical late-July warmth.
